What are PSL 10 Draft Rules and Regulations?
The PSL 2025 draft is done with a complete mindset and guidance, and it is also challenging for teams and management. Draft rules change each year, and if you want to know about how it is done then check the given guidelines:
The first option is to retain the players who have done well in the PSL 9. They have a complete choice to drop the players, and other teams can pick them.
Before PSL Draft 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB announced the categories and players list. Now, each team will set the player’s pick-up plan for the upcoming draft.
Every category includes multiple rounds from which teams will pick up the best players.
This option is also available if any team has dropped the player and wants to pick it up again. It brings some twist to the draft, but this team may have to pay for it on their turn.
Trading is also done before drafts so that they can exchange their players.

The six HBL PSL franchises have finalized retentions for 2025, with no trades this season: Islamabad retained Shadab Khan, Multan kept Mohammad Rizwan, Peshawar held Babar Azam, Karachi secured Hasan Ali, Quetta retained Rilee Rossouw, and Lahore kept Shaheen Afridi.

Following the announcement of the PSL 10 draft pick order, the names of some players registered for the PSL 10 draft will begin to be unveiled starting today 24-12-24 at 12:00 AM.
All players’ names will be released according to a specific schedule on daily basis:
Before the draft, the Pakistan Cricket Board gave each of the six teams time to decide which players they wanted to keep for the next season. If a player’s performance was not good in the last PSL season, teams could ask the player to accept a lower status, but both the player and team had to agree.
This year, before the PSL 2025 draft, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Karachi Kings each lowered the status of one player.
