Babar Azam Injured In Practice
Yes, you heard that right. Babar, the captain of Peshawar Zalmi, got hit on the foot by a ball while training. He had to leave the field limping. The timing couldn’t be worse. Zalmi’s first match is just two days away, on April 12, against Quetta Gladiators.
Right now, we don’t know how serious the injury is. Maybe it’s just a small knock and he needs to rest for a game or two. But there’s also a chance it could be something more serious. Whatever the case, it’s a big loss for Zalmi. Babar Azam is not just the captain. He’s the team’s main player, their leader, and a top performer.
He is had a tough few months but was all set to make a strong comeback in this PSL. If Babar has to sit out, players like Saim Ayub may have to take on more responsibility.
We all hope that Babar is back by then, playing his classic shots and leading the team like he always does. As a fan, this news really hurts. But we know Babar is a fighter. He’ll do everything he can to recover quickly. Let’s keep supporting our teams, enjoy tomorrow’s big opener between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, and send Babar all the best wishes for a fast recovery.
